Brunch at Lazy Hunter

At the weekend I love to have brunch, and living in London means there is always so much choice I never know where to pick next. I love to spend time on Instagram, looking for the ultimate brunch spot, finding somewhere a bit different or that looks seriously scrumptious. That’s when I found Lazy Hunter, and this cute little restaurant did not disappoint.

Situated a short walk from Kentish Town station in north London, Lazy Hunter brings the countryside to urban London with beautiful nature inspired decor and outside garden area. The restaurant is bright and airy, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

I dined here on a Saturday morning, so ate from the brunch menu. This is served daily until 2pm and includes a variety of dishes under £10. What makes this unique is the awesome skillet pans all the food is served in! Feels like some kind of camping-esque trip, but makes the food look so much more tasty and the portions are very generous. Also I don’t normally order juices, but this was seriously tasty and suited the brunch perfectly. Sometimes I forget how refreshingly tasty orange juice is.

Brunch deal – This includes any brunch main, a coffee and a cocktail for £13.95.

I really love smoked salmon so had to go for the Uncle Fishers Present, which includes smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and sourdough bread for £7.95. The toast was crunchy, and the smoked salmon was fresh making this a taste sensation.

The other dish ordered was the Full Hunters Breakfast which includes everything a full breakfast needs; apple & cider sausages, bacon, mushrooms, beans, cherry tomatoes, back pudding, eggs and toast for £8.95. Just look at it, this was a proper full breakfast!

Top tip – I definitely recommend booking this place, it gets super busy quickly especially at weekends. We got there around 11 which was the perfect time to enjoy brunch and get the weekend started, and before the restaurant got busy with other brunch lovers.

The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience thoroughly enjoyable.

Take a look at the menus here – I will definitely be back to try out the dinner menu.
