Brunch at Brother Marcus

Brother Marcus, the coolest brunch spot in SW London.

I love recommending people on where to eat in London, but likewise love other peoples recommendations to me – and Brother Marcus is one place that always gets mentioned. So last week, I took my friend Drew to see try this place out and sample the DELICIOUS brunch menu. Located opposite Balham station, this is an easily accessible brunch spot, and one you must get to in 2018 asap!

This place is small and intimate, it has a really cosy vibe which I love. Sadly this is one of those places you can’t book a table for, so I do recommend getting there earlyish as this is a SUPER popular place, but no one seemed to wait too long. All the food is around the £9/£10 mark and includes all the best tasty brunch favourites, including full breakfasts and crumpets.

(The lighting was great first thing on a Saturday morning) but look how good the food looks! Take a look at the brunch menu here, I always love looking at what the food looks like before dining somewhere and below is what we ordered.

In-law – which includes salt beef, cheddar & BM mayo in a toasted bagel for £9.60

Step-sister – which includes sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters, avocado and spinach, 9.8 kale, turmeric yoghurt & a poached egg. (GF) for £9.80

The food was so good and mixed with a coffee, made this the perfect brunch meal. The food came so quickly and our waiter was lovely – my coffee was a bit bitty (as soya milk can sometimes do that) and he was so accommodating at sorting it out for me.

All the staff are super accommodating and the overall dining experience was great. As there was two of us, we did share the table with another couple. I don’d mind this and think it really adds to the experience.

This place is all about brunch, therefore the menu and the opening times are all around that. Brother Marcus is only open until 4.30pm, therefore its more than likely just a weekend stop unless you can get there in the week. Take a look at the opening times and other bits here.

Have you been before? Or know any brill brunch places? Please let me know!

Lots of love, A x
