So, I will confess I have been stalking Grind on Instagram for some time now. I absolutely love the chic decor, and how artsy it looks – I had also lost track of how many people recommended it, and amazing their food looks. So off I went and it did not disappoint.
There are three Grind restauarnts in London, which are situated in London Bridge, Exmouth Market and Clerkenwell (where I went).
*I would definitely suggest booking if you go on a weekend for brunch, this place was packed because it’s so popular!*
On the menu there is a variety of tasty goodness, inclduing toast granola, Acai bowls, smashed avocado on toast, french toast, pancakes, cheeseburgers, full English breakfasts and more.
I decided to go for sweet potato harissa cakes and poached egg, with a side of beetroot smoked salmon. This was something I had never tried before, and loved it! The harrisa cakes (for anyone who doesn’t know) are a bundle of sweet potatoes with spicy seasoning which tasted amazing. The added beetroot really added to it to, I think for me without the side it wouldn’t have been enough, but then I eat loads.
I live for those eggsulent shots! Yummmm, that yolk was as good as it looked!
*The harissa cakes were £9 and the smoked salmon was an additional £4, the price is definitely reasonable.
This place was super busy, so I was unable to capture as much as I wanted of the overall restaurant. Therefore you’ll have to trust me when I say it’s lovely – or take a peak at their Instagram. What I did capture, was the extremely sexual yet hilarious LED wall art (featured below). If I could, I would definitely have these in my flat.
The Grind restaurants are open from 7am daily and close super late, as well as roasting their own incredible coffee. Speaking of which, I highly recommend their espressos – they are STRONG.
Or if you have been before and love it, let me know in the comments below. (Well, if you have any brunch recommendations let me know that too!)
Lots of love, A x
