Bottomless Brunch at Dirty Bones, Kensington

Dirty Bones is one my all time favourite brunch locations, and this weekend I visited the brand spanking new branch in High Street Kensington. Adding to their already successful restaurant portfolio, this entirely under ground location, with quirky decor and LED lights throughout – is their best one yet.

I was lucky enough to have won the Dirty Bones 25k competition, meaning I could take some friends and have a £250 bar tab for free!! Yes, £250! So, we went at 2pm on a Saturday and totally took advantage of the fabulous brunch menu.

Unlike the bottomless brunch at Dirty Bones in Carnaby Street, this one was not unlimited prosecco but instead any 4 cocktails for £19pp. These included ‘Dirty Mary’ a classic yet spicy take on a bloody Mary, as well as other drinks including a ‘Lexy’ which includes Ketel One vodka, Amaretto Luxardo, strawberry, lemon and prosecco. There was the option to just have 4 glasses of prosecco, if thats more what you fancy – but these cocktails were seriously scrumptious!

Oh, there was also a ‘fab’ cocktail! It looked like the ice-cream, and tasted like it too! This included Tanqueray gin, Cointreau, Martini Rosso, lemon, gomme syrup and egg white with a Hundreds & Thousands candy rim. Cocktails that include egg whites always make me feel funny because it’s raw egg – but it was good! A lil’ too sweet, but fun the fun element it was great!

The brunch menu is definitely one of the best when it comes to all the food included. Fancy a steak? You can have it. Fancy fries topped with fried eggs? You can have it. Even tacos?? You can have it, and thats exactly what we did.

Below includes:

GRILLED FISH TACOS – which includes grilled stone bass with white cabbage slaw, pickled pink onions, coriander and chipotle aioli. Served ready-made on two soft corn tortillas.

SHORT RIB HASH – 14 hour slow-cooked pulled short rib finished with caramelised shallots and mustard seeds. Served with potatoes and two sunny side-up eggs.

STEAK & EGGS – 7oz house cut of our flat iron steak served with two sunny side-up eggs and smoked tomato ketchup…

Just look at all this amazing food!

Finally, dessert. We were all really full by the end, especially with our own sides of fries. (The Dirty Bones fries are the perfect mixture of crunch, potato, and salt). But nethertheless, this peanut butter cup was ordered and oh my wow it was insanely good.

PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE CUP – Salted peanut butter gelato, caramelised chocolate ganache, dark chocolate cookie chunks and honey nut brittle.

Dirty Bones is an american restaurant and cocktail bar in London, and whether you want weekend brunch, or late night happy hours and a live DJ then this is the place to be.  Take a look at the DB website here and for all location information here.

So, HUGE thank you again to Dirty Bones – I will definitely be back asap!

Love, A x
