A little while back, by chance I walked past God’s Own Junkyard when my partner and I were exploring around Walthamstow. After only seeing a glimpse of inside, I noted the name and made it a must do when I next had a chance. When I actually googled this place I soon realised how popular it was and how a gentleman name Chris Bracey was the man behind the iconic art pieces. This place has even featured on Dynamo! So cool!
This place was full to the brim of new and used neon signs, salvaged signs, vintage signs, old movie props and retro displays. There was everything you can think of, some normal, some outrageous and some just fabulous.
This place is quirky and unique, and when you step inside you are entering an entirely different bubble. I have never been to Las Vegas, but maybe this is kind of similar?!
Some of the signs you can buy and I believe they are all up for renting. These would be fab at any fun occasion. What makes these so wonderful is that Chris has collected and salvaged these old neon signs from all kinds of places such as film sets, streets, then repaired and resurrected them to be the most wonderful unique pieces.
I vlogged my experience, take a peak at the place by clicking the image below…
