South West 4 Festival

Saturday was full of dancing, DJ’s and so much glitter.

I am of course talking about SW4, which takes place every year on Clapham Common. Sadly I missed out on this last year, so as soon as the tickets were released for 2016 I was straight in there dragging my friends with me. It did not disappoint, and I would definitely recommend this event! Living near Wimbledon, this was only a cheeky 20 minutes away. Being based near both Overground and Underground stations (Clapham Junction and Clapham Common) the event is easy to reach for all potential party goers.

For me this was the first festival I have been to this year. I definitely glammed up and made the most of the festival culture. Booze, mirrored sunglasses and Glitter (thanks to Dust and Dance, I definitely perfected the shimmery glow much to everyones approval) were in full swing. Attending the Saturday, I got to witness the fantastic Dizzee Rascal – which was a bit bonkers (pun intended), Rudimental, Nero, Netsky, Subfocus, Knifeparty and MJ Cole.

For me the climax of the day were Rudimental. This was the third time I have seen them live, and yet again they did not disappoint. The music, atmosphere and stage effects were the real highlight of the day and was a great way to end a fantastic festival.

The only slight criticism I did have was the food. As usual with most festivals the food was disappointingly bland and expensive. Although you don’t necessarily go to a festival for michelin star meals, I definitely feels this is one area they can improve.

Overall a day I won’t forget, see you next year SW4.
